Ruby eyes focus on the snowflakes gently drifting down from the sky, pale fingers reaching up to grasp a few as they melt with her touch.[break][break]

"It's gotten real cold, huh Reiner? Do you think we can make snowboys that last?"[break][break]

The Luxray grunts over her shoulder, already busy batting snow into little piles as he molds it together using his electricity.

The snow was unexpectedly relaxing to watch. It almost made him forget about the world almost ending not too long ago. A lot happened the months after the team rocket transfer of power in sootipolis.

Elio cringed quietly - that was not... his proudest of moments. In fact, the things he said during that time weighed on his mind. By trying to sound like a 'big shot' he took out his fragile ego on a literal child. That could definitely be crowned as the lowest moment of his life.
[break][break]
His cubone waddled unknowing of its trainer's plight as it made its way to what looked like a small girl and her pokemon... A familiar small girl, in fact. "What the hell... Just my luck." He muttered under his breath as he weighed his options and decided to confront the kid. What was the worst that could happen? They were just a kid after all! Still, the nervousness ... or was it guilt? Still wracked him.

"H-Hey! You're... Uh, Eris Halla, right? I don't think we ever got acquainted before! I'm Elio." He greeted keeping a somewhat strained if not awkward smile. ...He was never good with kids. This would be harder to deal with than he thought.

"What're you up to out here?" He glanced at the Luxray before focusing back on the child. Did Team Rocket just let this little girl travel around Hoenn all by herself? Where were her parents? Or even guardians? Despite everything, he didn't like the idea of little kids being left to their own devices.

It brought forth a protective instinct he didn't know he had, seeing as he was a single child growing up. He relaxed more as his expression became more natural. "Shouldn't you be at home?" He asked with genuine concern lacing his tone.

But when she finally does remember him, she can only really attribute him to that weird dude that called her something along the lines of an idiot at the assembly.[break][break]

To be fair, she had made a ruckus in front of everyone.[break][break]

What was his name again? Elio? Had she heard it before amongst the many little rumours scurrying around the headquarters?[break][break]

"Mhmm! And I'm just playing around since there's so much snow?" She hums, crouching down to scoop a handful and pack it into a ball. "And home... it really isn't much of a home without pa around. And he can't come back because he's under a whole bunch of League security."[break][break]

She doesn't go any further than that, finding no real reason to unless he knows enough to prod. Meanwhile, Reiner watches Elio's every move, only ever breaking eye contact to let Eris show him her handiwork then quickly looking back.[break][break]

The blond-haired man blinked, his eyebrows raising up to his bangs before raising down to furrow in confusion. Her dad was in League custody...? So, they were also Rocket.

And if they managed to get on the bad side of the League enough to warrant capture, then they must've been pretty high profile in Rocket. Or at least a big enough threat.

"Your dad sounds like a really tough person, I'm sure he'll be home before you know it!" He smiled hoping he didn't damper her mood with his question and thus tried to cheer her up.

"But the reason I'm here - is because of this little guy." He pointed at the Cubone that was currently rolling around in a pile of snow joyously.

"His name's Ivan, and he dragged me out here to play." He said with a sigh though it wasn't an exasperated one. It was one of pure fondness. Truth be told, he was trying to avoid coming up with a proper apology.

He wasn't the best at it and didn't even know if the kid would care let alone remember that whole debacle. What was even the point? ...Oh right, his guilty conscious...

"His name's Ivan, and he's a bit of a brat, but he's family." Ivan got up from the snow pile its gaze focused on Eris as he toddles over towards her cheering at her innocently. Obviously liking her presence.

Elio smiled, of course, a child would like another child. Different races or not. "Hah, looks like he likes you. He never does that around anyone - not even me!"

Drawing a long breath puts a chill through her lungs, but she doesn't quite flinch as she packs another snowball. "He's stubborn enough to be resurrected from the dead, I don't think there's much that would stop him really."[break][break]

Chu-e Choi had always been there for her, and he would continue to be no matter what happened.[break][break]

The playful Cubone snatches her attention, her lips twitching as she watched it tumble around. How very... coincidental, might be the word? A pokemon that's lost its mother and her... She remembers having to comfort a Cubone in the safari once and to this day, she still doesn't know what that feeling had been.[break][break]

When Ivan toddles over, she offers an open hand to him, her fingers still cold and red from touching the snow. It's not the most pleasant sensation, but perhaps he won't mind given how he's already been rolling in the snow prior to them meeting.[break][break]

"Do you like winter, Ivan? I think it's one of the prettier seasons..."

Ivan gave a cheery cry as it wiggled excitedly. Elio stifled a laugh at the pokemon's antics before answering what was obviously unspoken. "Seeing as this is his first winter - he absolutely loves it, he especially enjoys the snow as you can see."

Crossing his arms he watched the human and pokemon interact feeling a warmth in his chest. It was wholly unfamiliar to him because he didn't have siblings himself, but he couldn't help imagining him and Genevieve Cromwell having children of their own. As he blushed slightly, denying it was his thoughts, and chalked it up as a reaction to the cold.

"Well, if he survived that, then yeah - no one has to worry about em then." Impressed that such an important member of Team Rocket was raising - what he assumed - was an adopted child.

He didn't quite understand what the girl meant by "come back from the dead". In fact, he would write it off as nonsense if he hadn't witnessed the capabilities of legendary pokemon himself on Mt Pyre. At this rate, nothing will surprise him anymore.

"So-" He began unable to stop himself from asking as the question marred his mind. "What's a kid like you doing in a dangerous organization like Team Rocket?"

Elio sighed as he looked away, feeling a momentary sense of uneasiness. While sure he wasn't the cause of her woes - he was a contributor to the suffering of many others.

How many children lost their families? Lost their lives because of the cruelty he put on those around him? If Kanto was the closest thing to Hell, then Elio damn near the closest thing to a devil.
[break][break]
A monster who inflicted hurt and torment on those who opposed him. And what killed him the most is that he would continue to. He couldn't, wouldn't stop, his evils. [break][break]But did Elio truly feel remorse? ...A cold feeling swept down his spine and throughout his being as he realized the truth: No... No, he did not.

Still, he could at least pretend he did. Whatever made it easier for him to sleep at night he supposed. "Hm." He agreed in quiet comment, watching as Ivan and Eris made snowballs - or the Cubone attempted a mockery of it.

"Well, enough about that. What are you trying to build? Can I help?" He chuckled. "Ivan definitely wants to!"

"Roger that, Boss!" He replied with a mock salute and a smile. As he went to work, he realized it was a bit harder than it looked. Who knew compacting some snow would be a challenge in his life?

Granted, he hadn't done this since he was younger than Eris probably was. What was she? ten? eight? Someone far too young to be on a battlefield, possibly taking lives.

The world didn't need any more monsters like him. Children turned into killers. Despite that, Elio could tell that the kid was strong and she could most likely handle herself. Kids were many things, but the last thing he could call them is weak.

Or at least the kids he knew growing up. Doing what she said he moved over towards Eris and Ivan, ready to add on to the Snowmon. "Here ya go!"

"You gotta have a softer touch. Imagine patting a giant Wooloo!" Scooping up a handful of snow herself, Eris begins to press and mold it into a Quagsire's paw. Then, she begins to trace small lines to form the fingers. When she's ready, she places it onto the body, having Reiner melt it just enough to make it stick.[break][break]

The tail is received carefully, and she helps to make a few adjustments before adding it on.[break][break]

"A giant wooloo, huh?" Elio blinked owlishly as he imagined a giant fluffy wooloo in his head. He couldn't help but laugh a bit at that. It was ridiculous but got the point across. "Well, it only worked out well cause you did most of the work!" He praised the young girl for finding it a bit easier and less awkward to talk to her. [break][break]In fact, he was starting to see her as something like a little sister that he never had. It was a nice feeling, seeing as he grew up as a lonely only child. Elio wondered if this was what it felt like to have a family? ...That was something he hadn't had for a very long time. "Right, now what's our next step?"

Keep working through the paces, it's not something she's unfamiliar with. Though her fingers do feel a little numb from how long she's been touching the snow, she still has a little bit of fire in her eyes. Grabbing a solid fistful of snow, she throws the snowball right at @elio.[break][break]
